Celebrations

Goofy Faces

So Tyler had a pretty amazing birthday! We went to the movies, which is obviously Tyler's favorite thing to do. We saw This is the End in the afternoon and then went to Red Robin for dinner with his parents. Tyler being the best person in the world that he is picked it and then suggest to see monsters university, even though he really wanted to see Startrek. And then we spent the rest of the night together hanging out. It was a really fun day though.

Then America celebrated its' birthday. The 4th was pretty fun. Tyler had to work all day so that kind of sucked. But I went to my parents house and went swimming. Basically got a huge sun burn which is now somewhat tan. Basically I don't look like a ghost anymore & now look like I'm alive. When Tyler got off work we celebrated his birthday with my parents by having cake (we did the family dinner later that week so we could celebrate my grandmas birthday too).

Pretty much since then it's been Tyler working like crazy and me waking up super early going to the gym every day and playing with the dogs. Nursing school starts in 3 weeks and honestly I can't wait. I miss being in class and having stuff to do everyday. I love being crazy busy so not having anything to do right now is killing me.

Ready for the end... like the movie ;)

Our kids will be beautiful ;)

blessings

"Some blessings come soon, some come late, and some don't come until heaven." -Jeffry R. Holland

I just feel like I need to take a moment and just express how grateful I am for everything that has been happening to us lately. Back in March we hit a rough spot with everything that was going on around us, the apartment got broken into, Tyler's transmission in his truck completely gave out  and I had to get surgery. It was a little bit frustrating, but we knew we could get through it together and we did. I really do think we were blessed because we didn't give up. I got into nursing school, Tyler got a new job recently that will allow him to take more classes at better times and better benefits, and we moved into a beautiful house. So many great things have happened & it's just the beginning.

And even more exciting, for the end of summer we are trying to plan a vacation! Well just a mini weekend getaway. Which is still just as exciting. We want to go to California and spend the weekend at the beach sometime before school starts (which is in like a month for me).

Tomorrow is Tyler's birthday!! So expect another blog post pretty soon & probably with pictures :)

The Holidays!

This season has been crazy so far!! As soon as we got back from California in October I had exams each week or papers due until Thanksgiving and then we were back to Disneyland with my family for Thanksgiving! It was a lot of fun. We stopped at Tommy's Original Chili Burgers like usual, it was Tyler's first time. He isn't a true fan of it yet but I think that will change. We had a blast in Disneyland of course. As soon as we got back we decorated our place for Christmas. It's like a cute little winter wonderland in the Brox home. Finals are over with but of course there isn't really a break with all the prepping for standardized tests and what not. The next count down is for our Colorado trip December 23rd! I might actually have my first white Christmas this year. Crazzzzy. But here are some pictures from the past month and trip.

Disneyland Reunion Trip

Last year Tyler and his friends went on a super awesome trip to Disneyland. So this year since everyone is married they went again and since Tyler is so luckily married to me he got to bring me along. The other two boys were sort of surprised by the trip, they were told we were going to Ikea for the past few months but instead we ended up at Disneyland. It was such a fun weekend and we can't wait to go back next year!
